Day 20 — Closer to God — 365 Days
The Morning That Always Comes
“They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:23
There's something revolutionary about the sunrise that we often overlook because we're in a hurry.
Every morning is a declaration from God. A tangible, visible proof that repeats without asking permission: I am faithful. I renew. I have not given up.
The writer of Lamentations lived through an unprecedented tragedy. And even so, they looked at the morning and found there the proof of God's faithfulness. Not in the great miracles of the moment — in the sun that rose again.
How many mornings have you woken up and missed the fact that God was right there, renewing, sustaining, promising one more day?
Today, before you open your phone, before your coffee, before your to-do list, look at the day that has dawned. And recognize in it a personal message: I am still here. My mercies were renewed for you today.
The morning always comes. And with it, so does He.
Prayer
Lord, may I never again pass through a morning without recognizing it as proof of Your faithfulness. Thank You for renewing Your mercies for me again today. Amen.
