Anointed to Heal the Brokenhearted
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;”
Isaiah 61:1
When Jesus walked into the synagogue and opened the book of Isaiah, He chose this very verse to read aloud. And then He said, "Today this scripture is fulfilled." He was speaking about Himself.
The Son of God came specifically to heal the brokenhearted. Not as a side project, not as a minor detail of His ministry. It was in the mission. In the anointing. In the purpose.
That means that you, with your broken heart, are exactly among the people Jesus came for. Your pain isn't too small for His attention. It isn't too complicated for His power. You are exactly the kind of person He came to heal.
Receive this today: you were not left out. You are at the very heart of Jesus's mission. And He fulfills what He came to do.

Jesus, thank You for coming for people like me — broken, in need of healing. Heal my heart today. Amen.
