Day 188 — Closer to God — 365 Days
The Weeping of the Night
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
Psalm 30:5b
Sometimes the night is too long. You lie down with the weight on your chest, your mind won't stop, your eyes stay open in the dark. It's in these moments that the pain feels heaviest — because the silence of the night amplifies everything.
But God has hidden a promise inside the night: joy comes in the morning. Not "maybe it'll come." Not "someday, who knows." It comes. With the same certainty as the sunrise.
This doesn't mean everything will be resolved by tomorrow morning. It means the turnaround is on its way. That the longest night of your suffering isn't permanent. That God is working in the dark, while you sleep, while you cry, while you can't see anything at all.
If tonight is hard for you, breathe. Morning is coming. Joy is coming. And God is awake, watching over you until it arrives.
Prayer
Father, tonight is heavy. Stay with me. And let me wake up tomorrow remembering that Your joy is on its way. Amen.
