Day 187Closer to God — 365 Days

When Everything Will Be New

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:4

There are days when pain feels like it came to stay. Days when you look at your life and think: this is never going to change. This emptiness will never be filled. This longing will never pass.

And maybe, in fact, certain pains in this life won't fully pass here. But this verse gives us a horizon that sustains the soul: one day, God Himself will wipe every tear from your eyes. With His own hands. With a Father's care.

Every pain has a final deadline. Every season of grief will end. Every loss will be restored in a way our minds cannot yet imagine. This isn't wishful thinking — it's the firm promise of a God who does not lie.

Today, when the pain tightens its grip, remember this: you're not walking in circles. You're walking toward a day when everything will be new. And that day is coming.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the hope that pain is not the final word. Sustain my heart in this waiting with the certainty of what is to come. Amen.
