Day 130 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Like an Eagle Over Her Young
“As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:”
Deuteronomy 32:11
There's something in this image that speaks straight to the heart. The eagle doesn't let her young fall indefinitely — she teaches them to fly, but hovers beneath them, ready to catch them.
That's how God cares for you. He allows you to face challenges that seem bigger than you — not to watch you suffer, but because He knows what you're capable of becoming when you trust in Him. And at the same time, He's right there, wings spread, ready to hold you up when you falter.
Sometimes the hardest moments in life are lessons learned on the wings of God. You're not alone in the air. He's beneath you, around you, sustaining every attempt.
Today, if you're in the middle of something difficult and it feels like you're falling — trust. God's wings are open. He doesn't let His children fall unsupported.
Prayer
Father, in the moments when I seem to be in free fall, remind me of Your wings open beneath me. Thank You for holding me up even when I don't notice. Amen.
