Day 128 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Grace Greater Than Guilt
“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.”
Psalm 103:8
Guilt is one of the heaviest burdens there is. And often we carry it within church, within faith itself — thinking God is disappointed, that yesterday's mistake is still being counted, that mercy has a limit.
But Psalm 103 speaks of a God who is slow to anger. Who is in no hurry to punish. Who doesn't wake up already indignant with you. Who is great — vast, overflowing — in mercy.
God's mercy isn't a balance that runs out as you fail. It renews. It's greater than the guilt you feel. It's greater than the weight you carry.
This doesn't mean sin doesn't matter — it does, and it hurts. But it means that when you come to God with a repentant heart, you find mercy, not punishment.
Today, instead of carrying that weight alone, bring it to Him. His grace is greater.
Prayer
Lord, may I stop punishing myself for what You have already forgiven. Your mercy is greater than my mistakes. Help me truly receive that forgiveness. Amen.
