Day 127Closer to God — 365 Days

The Worth You Have to Him

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:

1 John 3:1

Have you ever stopped to think what it means to be called a child of God? Not follower, not admirer, not servant — child. With all the intimacy, belonging, and love that word carries.

John was amazed by this. He uses the word "behold" — as if stopping to say: wait, look at this. Pay attention to what the Father has done. He called us children. What kind of love is this?

It's the love of a Father who knows you by name. Who knows your struggles, your fears, your unspoken dreams. Who doesn't see you as just another face in the crowd, but as His child — specific, loved, belonging.

Sometimes life makes us feel small. The world may tell you that you're not worthy enough, not smart enough, not beautiful enough. But the Father who created the universe looks at you and says: this is my child.

You have worth because He chose to call you His.

Prayer

Father, may I carry today the identity of Your child — not by my performance, but by Your love. May it change how I see myself. Amen.
