Day 119 — Closer to God — 365 Days
More Than Conquerors
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
Romans 8:37
"More than conquerors" — in Greek, hypernikomen. Hyper-conquerors. Not just those who survived, not just those who made it through hardship. Those who came out with more than they had going in.
Paul lists what cannot separate us from the love of God: tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, sword. These are real things — not hypotheticals. And in all of them, not in spite of them, we are more than conquerors.
Victory isn't the absence of struggle. It's coming out transformed. It's discovering that in the middle of hardship you found God in a way you wouldn't have found Him otherwise. It's coming out with stronger faith, deeper trust, more real love.
You are not losing the battle. Even if it looks that way. The hyper-conqueror sometimes looks defeated to those watching from the outside. But on the inside, something is being forged.
And the reason for all of this? Not your own strength. "Through him that loved us."
Prayer
Father, let me trust that I am more than a conqueror not because of what I do, but because of the One who loves me. Thank You for the victory that is in Christ. Amen.
