Day 114Closer to God — 365 Days

The Full Armor

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:11

Paul didn't tell you to go into battle with whatever you have on hand. He said to put on the whole armor. Every piece has a purpose. None of them is optional.

The belt of truth — so the lies you believe about yourself don't knock you down. The shield of faith — to quench the arrows of doubt and discouragement. The helmet of salvation — to protect your mind from destructive thoughts.

But take note: putting on the armor is an active act. It doesn't appear automatically. It's a decision made in the morning, when you open the Word and pray. It's the choice not to walk into your day unarmed.

Many battles that seem physical are spiritual. The exhaustion that won't lift, the sadness with no clear cause, the fear that makes no sense — sometimes there's an invisible dimension that calls for armor, not just medicine.

Get dressed today. Ask God for each piece. And step into your day with everything He prepared for you to stand firm.

Prayer

God, help me put on Your armor before I face the day. Let me stand firm, not in my strength, but in Yours. Amen.
