Day 108 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Do Not Let Your Hands Fall
“And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”
Deuteronomy 20:3-4
"Do not let your hands fall" — is there anything more human than hands that fall from exhaustion? It isn't laziness. It's when the weight has become too heavy for too long, and the arms simply can't hold on anymore.
God knows this. He doesn't pretend you have infinite strength. He sees the hands falling and speaks tenderly: hold on. Not because you are capable, but because I am fighting for you.
There are battles that aren't yours to win by your own effort. They call for something different: faithfulness. Presence. Not abandoning your post.
Your hands may be falling today. The exhaustion may be real. But God is asking you not to let go — not because victory depends on you, but because He wants you to see His victory up close.
Hold on a little longer. The Lord goes ahead. The battle has an owner, and it isn't you. Your hands only need to trust.
Prayer
Lord, my hands are heavy. Sustain me so I don't give up before I see Your victory. Amen.
