Day 107 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Strengthened in the Inner Being
“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.”
Ephesians 3:16
Paul prays for the Ephesians, asking that they be strengthened from within — in the inner being, the part no one sees but that holds everything else up. Because it's from within that everything flows: patience, perseverance, joy in the midst of hardship.
Sometimes we try to strengthen ourselves from the outside in: more organization, more discipline, more effort. None of that is bad. But without the inner strength that comes from the Spirit, everything wears out fast.
The Christian life isn't about forcing more, it's about being transformed more. There's a difference between a person who tries hard and a person who is being strengthened by the Spirit of God. The second one endures more, because the source is inexhaustible.
Let God work in your inner being today. In the corners you show no one. In the hidden fears, the old insecurities, the pain that lingered. He wants to go there — not to expose, but to strengthen.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, enter the deepest places of my being and strengthen me where I am weak. May Your strength be mine. Amen.
