Day 101 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Strengthened Within
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”
Ephesians 6:10
Paul doesn't tell you to try harder or push yourself with more determination. He tells you to be strong in the Lord. The direction matters greatly. It isn't strength that comes from within you — it's strength that comes from Him and comes to dwell in you.
There's a huge difference between being worn out trying to be strong and being strong because He sustains you. The first exhausts. The second renews.
This strength Paul mentions isn't meant to impress anyone. It's meant to carry you through the real day: the demands of home, the difficulties at work, the relationships that cost you something, the invisible battles no one sees but that you know well.
You don't need to appear strong to the world. You need to be connected to the source of true strength. And that connection happens in prayer, in the Word, in silence with God, in the moments when you stop and say: Lord, I need You.
That need isn't weakness. It's wisdom. It's the beginning of all real strength.
Prayer
God, may I learn to seek strength in the right place — in You, not in myself. Strengthen me by Your Spirit. Amen.
