Verse explanation
Closes the chapter by returning to the theme from the beginning of the book, in 1:7 — reverence for God is not just the starting point, it is also what keeps correcting and adjusting a person’s wisdom along the way. The order between humility and honor here is a pattern that repeats in 16:18 and 18:12.
