3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Verse explanation
The KJV’s “mansions” translates a word that could also mean rooms or dwelling places within a larger house, not necessarily separate homes. Jesus is reassuring the disciples that there is a place reserved for all of them, not just for a few.
