Verse explanation
In the middle of an invasion that seemed impossible to overcome, Jehoshaphat’s prayer ends with a line that sums up the moment: “neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.” It is a complete admission of helplessness that opens the door for the answer that comes right after.
