Day 30 — Mornings with God
Closer to God
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”
James 4:8
We've reached day thirty.
Thirty mornings. Thirty times you chose to show up. Thirty new beginnings, thirty doses of fresh mercy, thirty reasons to praise.
And the promise that closes it all out is the simplest of them all: draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.
You did that. Thirty days of drawing near. And if the promise is true — and it is — God drew near back. Thirty times. Maybe in ways you barely noticed. Maybe in ways that will show up in the days ahead, when you look back and recognize His hand in what happened.
Being closer to God isn't a destination you reach and then stop. It's a path. Every morning is one more step. Every devotional, every prayer, every quiet moment with Him — one more step.
And every step matters. Today's step mattered.
Don't stop. Keep drawing near. Keep showing up. Because on the other side, morning after morning, God is drawing near right back.
Prayer
Father, thank You for every morning of these thirty days. Thank You for drawing near to me as I drew near to You. May this not be an ending, but only the beginning of a life lived closer to You. Amen.
