Day 30Healing for the Heart

Halfway There: Breathe and Look Back

Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.

1 Samuel 7:12

You've reached the halfway point. Thirty days ago, you might not have known whether you'd be able to open this book again today — and here you are. Pause for a moment to take that in. Samuel raised a stone and gave it a name that means 'hitherto the Lord has helped us,' so he would never forget that God had sustained them. Do the same today, on the inside. Look back, not to reopen wounds, but to recognize: you're still standing. There was crying, there were heavy days, but God brought you this far — and He didn't bring you this far to abandon you now. You may not have noticed, but something has already changed. The pain that felt like it would kill you didn't. That's grace. Today, rest in this certainty: the same God who sustained you these thirty days will sustain you in the ones ahead. Hitherto He has helped. And He won't stop now.

Prayer

Lord, hitherto You have helped me, and I haven't always noticed. Thank You for bringing me this far. Sustain me also on the road still ahead. Amen.
