Day 16Healing for the Heart

Your Faith Doesn't Need to Be Big

If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed... nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Matthew 17:20

On days of pain, faith feels tiny. You pray and doubt; you believe and fear; you want to trust, but your heart locks up. And then comes the guilt: "do I even have real faith?" Breathe. Jesus didn't ask for a huge faith. He spoke of faith the size of a tiny mustard seed — one of the smallest seeds there is. What matters isn't the size of your faith, but who it holds on to. A small faith gripping a great God can move what seems impossible. You don't need to feel a giant confidence today. It's enough to have the thin thread of faith that still makes you open this book, still whisper a prayer, still wait a little longer. That is faith, and God honors it. Don't despise your small faith: it's a seed, and seeds were made to grow.

Prayer

Lord, my faith is small and tired. But the little I have, I place in You. Grow my trust. I believe; help my unbelief. Amen.
