Day 9 — Strength for Mothers
Like a Father With His Children
“Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.”
Psalm 103:13
When your child stumbles and falls, you run. It doesn't matter what you were doing. It doesn't matter if you were in the middle of something important. The child fell, and you're there.
That's compassion. And that's exactly how God moves toward you.
You are the daughter who stumbles. The one who falls. The one who sometimes goes too far and doesn't know how to find her way back. And God is the Father who runs — not to keep score, but to gather you in.
In motherhood, guilt is a frequent companion. The voice that says you've failed too many times, that your child will suffer because of your mistakes, that you're not measuring up. That voice is not from God.
The Father who has compassion looks at you with mercy. He knows what you're made of — He knows where you came from, what you carry, what you're still learning. And He doesn't condemn you for being human.
Today, you can get back up. Not because you were perfect — but because the Father runs when you fall.
Prayer
Merciful Father, thank You for not abandoning me when I fail. May Your compassion heal the guilt I carry, and give me courage to begin again. Amen.
