Day 81Strength for Mothers

The Priestly Blessing Over Your Children

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Numbers 6:24-26

Did you know you can speak this blessing over your children? You don't need to be a pastor, priest, or theologian. You are a mother — and a mother's blessing is powerful.

This is the oldest recorded blessing in the Bible, the blessing God told Aaron to pronounce over the people of Israel. Three parts: protection, mercy, and peace. It's everything a mother wants for her children.

Try it today. With your children awake or asleep, whether they're near you or not — declare it out loud: "May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He give you peace."

Words carry weight. A mother's words carry double weight. And words that come from Scripture carry the authority of God. You're not making it up — you're aligning your voice with His.

Prayer

Father, today I declare Your blessing over my children. Bless them, keep them, let Your face shine upon them, have mercy on them, and give them peace. Amen.
