Day 75Strength for Mothers

The Surrendered Heart

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Proverbs 16:3

We've reached the last day of this block, and I want to leave you with a simple image: two open hands.

Not closed fists, gripping tight. Not hidden hands. Open hands — open to receive, but also open to release. That is the posture of trust. That is the posture of a mother who has learned that her children pass through her hands, but belong to the heart of God.

"Commit thy works unto the Lord." The works of motherhood — the hard conversations, the nights of prayer, the mistakes you regret, the small victories no one saw, the love you sometimes gave without receiving any back. Commit all of it to Him.

And what does God promise? "Thy thoughts shall be established." That word "established" carries the idea of something firm, secure, set in its rightful place. When you let go, your mind finds peace. Not because the problems disappeared, but because you know whose hands they're in.

Open your hands today, mom. You can.

Prayer

Father, I open my hands. I entrust to You my children, my fears, my hopes. Establish my heart in You. Amen.
