Day 70 — Strength for Mothers
Trusting What You Cannot See
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
Philippians 1:6
There are things in your children's lives that you don't see. Conversations they have when you're not around. Thoughts they keep to themselves. Inner struggles they don't even know how to name yet. And that invisibility can be deeply distressing for a mother.
But this verse is a precious reminder: God did not begin His work in your children only to abandon it halfway. The One who started it will finish it. He sees what you cannot see. He works where you have no access.
"The good work" is not just a conversion. It's the entire process of shaping your child's character, faith, and identity. And God is committed to that process in a way that goes beyond any effort of your own.
You plant, you water — but it is God who gives the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6). Today, rest in that truth. What you cannot see in your children, God is watching over.
Prayer
God, I trust that You will finish what You started in my children. May I not despair over what I cannot see. Amen.
