Day 43Strength for Mothers

When You Don't Know What to Do

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 1:5

There is no complete manual for raising children. Every child is different, every stage brings new challenges, and often you find yourself facing a situation where you simply don't know what to do. The teenager who shut the door. The child who is struggling at school. The decision that will shape their future. In these moments of not knowing, God has an invitation for you: ask for wisdom. Don't apologize for not knowing. Don't pretend you have it figured out. Come before Him with the honest question and an open hand. He promises to give wisdom to everyone, generously, without holding it against you. That includes you, with all your motherly doubts. He will not judge you for not knowing. He will give you what you need to take the next step.

Prayer

God, there are so many things I don't know how to handle right now. I ask for wisdom — not ready-made answers, but real discernment for the decisions I need to make for my children. You promised to give it. I receive it. Amen.
