Day 33Strength for Mothers

The Faith That Passes from Hand to Hand

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

2 Timothy 1:5

There is something deeply beautiful in this verse. Paul is reminding Timothy that the faith he carries didn't come from nowhere — it came from his grandmother, it came from his mother. They were faithful women, ordinary women, who passed on something precious. You can be that woman for your children. You don't need a big ministry, a stage, rehearsed words. You need a genuine faith, lived out at home, day after day. The most valuable inheritance you can leave behind doesn't fit in an estate. It lives in your children's hearts. When you pray with them, when you speak of Jesus naturally, when you show that the Bible is a living book — you are building something that will last far beyond your lifetime. What a beautiful inheritance you are planting.

Prayer

Lord, may my faith be real enough to pass on. May my children receive from me not just tradition, but a living experience of Your love. Make me a faithful link in this chain of faith. Amen.
