Day 25 — Strength for Mothers
I Can Do All Things Through Him Who Strengthens Me
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Philippians 4:13
This verse is often quoted out of context — as if it meant the Christian wins every competition or overcomes every challenge through sheer willpower. But Paul wrote this from inside a prison. In the middle of limitation, not abundance.
"I can do all things" doesn't mean you can do everything without help. It means that in every situation — in abundance and in need — you find enough strength in Christ to get through.
For the mother, this is freeing. You don't have to be capable of everything. You don't have to have all the answers, you don't have to suffer in silence, you don't have to look fine when you're not. You need Christ — who is able where you are not.
What are you facing today that seems too big? That situation has a name: it's the place where the promise proves itself. Not because you'll become a super-mom, but because He is faithful to supply what's missing.
You can — not by your own merit, but because He strengthens you.
Prayer
Christ, on my own I cannot. But in You, I can do all You call me to do. Strengthen me today for what lies before me. Amen.
