Day 22 — Strength for Mothers
One Step at a Time
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Psalm 119:105
You don't need to see the whole road. You only need the next step.
Motherhood often confronts us with questions too big to hold: which school? which city? How do you raise a child without getting it wrong? How do you talk about faith, about the body, about a world that never stops? The decisions feel enormous and the answers feel scarce.
But God didn't promise a floodlight — He promised a lamp. A lamp gives just enough light for the next step. And on that next step, you'll receive light for the one after.
That requires a daily trust. Not a one-time trust that solves everything — but a trust renewed each morning, one that says: Lord, light up today what I need to see today.
You don't need the whole map. You need the Word. And it's available — in moments of silence, in verses that come back to mind, in the gentle voice that guides you when you stop to listen.
One step. With light. That's enough.
Prayer
God, I don't need to see everything — I only need the next step. Light my path with Your Word. Let me trust enough to move forward even without seeing the end. Amen.
