Day 16Strength for Mothers

When Your Strength Runs Out

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Isaiah 40:29

There's a kind of exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix. You slept — or tried to — and woke up feeling the same. Your body rested a little, but your soul is still weighed down. The problems didn't go away. The list didn't get shorter. And you have to get up anyway.

God knows that kind of tiredness. And the Bible doesn't say He instructs you to try harder. It says He gives strength. He multiplies what no longer exists. He doesn't demand that you produce what you don't have — He provides it.

That's different from everything the world offers. The world says: organize better, sleep earlier, eat right. And all of that has its place. But when the exhaustion is of the soul, only God reaches deep enough.

Today, you don't have to pretend you have energy. You can come to Him exactly as you are — worn out — and ask for what only He can give. Strength that comes from above. Vigor that isn't yours, but that He lends to those who ask.

Prayer

Lord, I have no strength left. I won't pretend to have what I don't. Come into me, fill what is empty, sustain what is weak. I need You. Amen.
