Day 80Marriage Devotional

Renewing Your Yes

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Psalm 90:14

On your wedding day, you said yes. Before God, before witnesses, with a heart full of hope. That yes was a single moment — but marriage is made of choices that renew that yes every day.

Renewing your yes isn't about always feeling that same first warmth. It's about choosing, when the feeling wavers, to return to the original choice and confirm it. "I still choose you." "Even after everything, yes." "With God in the middle, I continue."

That renewal can happen in silence, in a prayer of your own. It can happen in a conversation with your spouse. It can happen in a simple gesture — a hand extended, a hug for no special reason.

The psalm asks God for satisfaction enough to sing. When you are satisfied in God, it becomes easier to renew your yes to the marriage. Because the love you give comes from the place where you receive.

Prayer

Father, satisfy me with Your mercy so that I can love well. Renew my yes to this marriage today — not out of obligation, but by choice, grounded in You. Amen.
