Day 7Marriage Devotional

The Home That Fears God

Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Psalm 128:1-2

The word "fear" here isn't fear of punishment — it's reverence, giving God the place that belongs to God. It's waking up in the morning and recognizing that this life, this marriage, these children are sacred loans that deserve care.

A home that walks in God's ways isn't a home without problems. It's a home with a compass. Where you know true north even when the fog rolls in. Where decisions pass through an honest question: does this please God? Does this build up our marriage? Does this do good to the people who live here? You don't need a perfect daily devotion to live this out — it can be a short prayer together, a word of gratitude, a forgiveness spoken out loud. The home that reveres God flourishes from the inside out. Start where you are.

Prayer

God, I want our home to be marked by Your name. May our choices reflect who we worship. Make us a home that honors You day by day. Amen.
