Day 17 — Marriage Devotional
Endure, believe, hope
“Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.”
1 Corinthians 13:7
This verse is a portrait of mature love. Not the love that disappears at the first turbulence — the love that stays. That endures the hard season. That believes even when it cannot see. That hopes even when the timeline seems long.
Have you ever gone through a season in your marriage that seemed to have no way out? Maybe you're in it now. And maybe what God is asking for isn't an immediate solution, but sustained faith — the ability to say, "I still believe in this marriage, I still believe in him, I still believe God is here." That is enduring with hope, not with resignation. There's a huge difference between merely holding on and waiting in faith. One is heavy; the other carries the lightness of God. Ask for that lightness today. Love that endures all things doesn't carry the weight alone — it carries it with God.
Prayer
Father, when I am at my limit, teach me to endure with faith, not with bitterness. May my hope for our marriage come from You, not from circumstances. Amen.
