Jonah and the big fish

God asked Jonah to go tell a city about God's love, but Jonah didn't want to go — he ran away on a ship, as far as he could! But God has a way for everything: He sent a storm, and Jonah ended up inside the belly of a giant fish! Down there, dark and squeezed in tight, Jonah prayed and asked God to forgive him. And God, who is so good, told the fish to spit Jonah out onto dry land, safe and sound. After that, Jonah went and did what God had asked him from the very beginning. Sometimes we try to run away from doing what's right too, but God, with so much patience, always gives us another chance to get back on the right path.
