Day 13 — The Proverbs 31 Woman
The Beauty That Never Fades
“Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.”
Proverbs 31:30
This might be the most liberating verse in the whole chapter — and the most necessary in a world that measures a woman by her mirror. Listen with your heart: physical beauty fades, youth slips away, and that isn't a tragedy — it's simply the truth. What remains, what truly makes a woman worthy of praise, is the fear of the Lord — the beauty of a soul that loves God. You can spend your life chasing an impossible standard of appearance and still feel empty inside. Or you can invest in what flourishes with the years instead of withering: a gentle heart, a steady faith, a love that overflows. Take care of yourself, yes, but don't define yourself by your looks. The most beautiful woman isn't the one who stops traffic, but the one who reflects God. No one can take that beauty from you, and it only grows with time.
Prayer
Lord, set me free from the tyranny of the mirror. Teach me to care more for my heart than for my appearance. May my true beauty be Your presence in me — the beauty that never grows old. Amen.
