Day 79 — Young Woman of Faith
The Gift That Is Yours
“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
1 Peter 4:10
There's something only you do the way you do it. It might be writing, listening, teaching, cooking, organizing, creating. It might be the way you notice when someone is sad. It might be the ability to connect people. It might be the talent for making complicated things simple.
That's not an accident. God placed specific gifts in you — and He placed them there to be used, not stored away.
Sometimes we hide our gift out of fear: "what if it's not good enough?" Or out of false humility: "there are people so much better than me at this." But Peter says you should minister your gift to others. Yours — not someone else's more experienced one.
The world doesn't need one more copy of somebody else. It needs the original that you are.
Who could be impacted by what you have to offer? Start with them. Serve with what you have, not with what you wish you had. And watch God multiply it.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the gifts You've placed in me. May I not hide them out of fear or insecurity. Give me courage to serve with who I am. Amen.
