Day 61Young Woman of Faith

Working With Your Whole Heart

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Colossians 3:23

There's a huge difference between doing something because it's an obligation and doing it because you've chosen to honor God in it. The second option changes everything — your mood, the quality, even the tiredness feels lighter.

Maybe today you're facing a task you don't want to do: a hard subject, a boring job, a repetitive duty. But what if you decided to offer it up to the Lord? Not pretending it's easy, but trusting that He sees every effort you make.

Doing something wholeheartedly doesn't mean doing it with excitement every day. It means doing it with intention. With the awareness that your work can be an act of worship, even when no one applauds.

God notices the girl who studies when she's sleepy. Who reviews the project even without feeling like it. Who serves without expecting recognition. He sees. And that's already enough to keep going.

Today, choose one task and offer it to the Lord before you begin. Do it with care. See what changes inside you.

Prayer

Father, today I offer You my work. May every effort of mine be an act of worship, even when no one notices. Help me do wholeheartedly what needs to be done. Amen.
