Day 42 — Young Woman of Faith
Waiting for the Right Time
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
Psalm 27:14
Waiting is one of the hardest things there is. Especially when what you desire is good — when it isn't a whim, but an honest desire to love and be loved. When the waiting feels unfair.
But there's a difference between waiting passively and waiting with your heart turned toward God. Waiting isn't putting life on hold. It's continuing to grow while He works. It's trusting that what He has for you won't arrive late — it will arrive at the right time.
And you know what He promises while you wait? To strengthen your heart. That means waiting doesn't weaken you when it's accompanied by Him. It shapes you. It deepens you. It prepares you to receive what's coming with maturity and gratitude.
So, young woman, you can wait without despair. You can trust without certainty. You can flourish now, here, in this season that feels like transition — because it, too, is part of the plan.
Prayer
Lord, strengthen my heart as I wait. May I never mistake Your silence for abandonment. I trust You, even when I don't understand. Amen.
