Day 36 — Young Woman of Faith
Dating With God at the Center
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Matthew 6:33
Dating with God at the center doesn't mean the two of you talking about theology all the time. It means that, in hard decisions, you consult God together. It means mutual respect that grows out of reverence for Him. It means boundaries that exist not out of obligation, but out of love — love for yourselves and for Him.
When you put the relationship at the center — when it becomes the reason you get up in the morning, what defines your mood, what gives your day meaning — you're putting a creature in the place of the Creator. And no human relationship can bear that kind of weight.
The right person will draw you closer to God, not pull you away. They'll understand when you need time to pray. They'll watch you grow in faith and be glad about it, not threatened by it. They'll love who you are in Christ — not in spite of it.
While that relationship hasn't arrived yet, or while you're building it, take care of what comes first. A woman rooted in God is a woman who knows what she wants, what she deserves, and what she won't accept. And that makes all the difference.
Prayer
Lord, may You be the center of every relationship in my life. Let me seek You first — and trust that everything else comes in Your timing. Amen.
