Day 25Young Woman of Faith

Dating with Purpose

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

2 Corinthians 6:14

This is one of the topics that raises the most questions among young Christian women — and it's worth talking about honestly, without judgment.

Paul isn't saying that dating is a sin. He's saying that the heart of the person you choose for your life carries weight. That walking a path with someone heading in the opposite direction from you — in values, in faith, in character — is too hard, and often pulls you away from who you are in God.

This isn't punishment. It's protection.

Dating isn't just romance. It's a space of formation. The person you spend your time with, who speaks into your ear, who influences your decisions — that person will leave marks. What kind of marks do you want to receive?

Ask God for wisdom. Don't settle for less than someone who treats you with respect, who honors your faith, who walks with you. Not out of pride — but because you know the worth of what you carry.

You deserve a relationship that draws you closer to God, not one that pulls you away.

Prayer

Father, help me have wisdom in my relationships. Guard my heart from choices that pull me away from You. And let me never lessen my worth out of fear of being alone. Amen.
