Day 19Young Woman of Faith

Dreaming With God

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psalm 37:4

This verse is often misunderstood. It isn't a magic formula: seek God and get whatever you want. It's a deeper promise than that.

When you delight yourself in God — when He becomes the center, the joy, the foundation — your desires slowly get shaped by His. The dreams you carry start to align with what He has prepared. And that's when something incredible happens: you discover that the desires of your heart and His will aren't opposites. They're the same thing.

This doesn't mean stifling your dreams or pretending you don't have any. It means bringing them to God. Dreaming with Him, not apart from Him.

Do you have dreams? Of becoming something, of impacting someone, of building something, of going somewhere? Bring those dreams into His presence. Let Him speak into them. Let Him purify, expand, or redirect them if needed.

Dreams that are born out of God's presence have a different quality. They sustain.

Prayer

Lord, I want to learn to dream with You, not without You. Take my desires and shape them by Your heart. May my dreams align with what You have prepared for me. Amen.
