Day 88 — Goodnight, Lord
Tomorrow, Mercy Will Be There
“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.”
Lamentations 3:25-26
There is a special peace in waiting on God in silence. Not the silence of discouragement, but the silence of trust — the kind that knows God is good and that He is worth waiting for. Maybe you're waiting for an answer, a turnaround, a deliverance that hasn't come yet. At night, the waiting can feel heavy. But the Word promises: God is good to those who wait for Him. The mercy you're waiting for will not fail; it's simply on its way. Tonight, instead of tossing and turning anxious over the delay, wait in silence, resting in God's goodness. Tomorrow, mercy will be there — because it is new every morning. Sleep well as you wait, without distress, trusting that the good God does not forget those who wait for Him. Your waiting has a faithful God on the other side of it.
Prayer
Father, I wait in silence, trusting that You are good to those who wait. Take the anxiety out of my waiting and give me peace. Tomorrow Your mercy will be there. I rest. Amen.
