Under His Wings

Every child knows what it means to sleep securely: just knowing someone bigger is watching over them. At night, God offers you that same shelter. You are not exposed to chance, left to fend for yourself. There is a secret place, a protecting shadow, a resting place that is His very presence. However small or unprotected the day may have left you feeling, at night you can take refuge under the wings of the Most High. There, nothing that frightens you has the last word. Tonight, before you sleep, picture yourself in that shelter: covered, kept, loved. The Almighty cares for you not from a distance, but up close, like a parent tucking in a child.
