Day 69 — Goodnight, Lord
He Turns Mourning into Dancing
“Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing... thou hast girded me with gladness.”
Psalm 30:11
God has a way of turning stories around. The psalmist, who once wept, could later testify: mourning turned into dancing, sorrow turned into joy. If you lie down tonight in tears, hold on to that hope. Your chapter of tears is not the end of the book. God specializes in transformation — and what looks today like only pain may reveal tomorrow a purpose you can't yet see. You don't need to force joy right now; you only need to trust the One who knows how to turn things around. Weep, if you must, but sleep knowing God is already at work on the turnaround. Tonight, hand Him your tears and rest in the promise that joy will return. The same God who wiped away the psalmist's tears wipes away yours, and prepares, in due time, your dance.
Prayer
Lord, there are tears in me tonight, but I believe You turn mourning into joy. Take care of my sorrow and prepare my turnaround. I rest in Your promise. Amen.
