Day 27Goodnight, Lord

You Can Trust Even Without Understanding

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding:

Proverbs 3:5

There are questions you carry to bed unanswered. Why did it happen this way? And now what? Your mind wants to understand everything before it can relax, but some answers simply don't arrive today. That's exactly what trusting God is: resting without having the full picture. You don't need to understand the whole path to sleep in peace; you need to know whose hand is holding yours. Your understanding is limited, and that's all right — His has no end. Tonight, let go of demanding explanations before you rest. Hand God the open questions and trust that He already knows what you don't yet know. Sleep in trust, not in comprehension. Whoever trusts in the Lord can close their eyes even in the middle of doubt.

Prayer

Lord, I don't understand everything, but I trust You. I take the unanswered questions off my lap and leave them with You. I rest in Your wisdom, not my own. Amen.
