Day 7Closer to God — 365 Days

Joy Is Coming

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Psalm 30:5

Some nights seem to last far longer than one night. They are seasons of weeping, of difficult waiting, of questions with no easy answers. You already know this kind of night.

But God promises: morning is coming.

Not as an empty consolation, not as a "stop crying, it'll pass." It's a firm promise from the One who has authority over time itself. Joy is coming — not because the pain was small, but because God's power is greater than any night.

And there's more: "in his favour is life." While you walk through the night, God's favor is with you. He hasn't stepped away. He hasn't grown impatient with your sorrow. He is too much of a Father to abandon you in the darkness.

If you're in the middle of a long night, let Him be with you now. And keep believing: the morning of joy is coming — for you too.

Prayer

God, thank You for not abandoning me in the hard nights. Help me trust Your promise that joy is coming. May I feel Your favor even in the midst of weeping. Amen.
