Day 39 — Closer to God — 365 Days
He Knows Those Who Trust in Him
“And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”
Psalm 9:10
There is a hidden promise in this verse worth paying attention to: God does not abandon those who seek Him. Not those who were perfect. Not those who never made a mistake. Those who seek. And seeking is a continuous act, daily, often imperfect.
To know God's name is to know His character. It's to know that He is faithful, that He is good, that He is powerful, that He is merciful. And the more you know Him, the more natural it becomes to trust Him. Trust isn't born out of nowhere — it grows through intimacy.
If you're going through a season where trust feels hard, maybe today's invitation is to seek to know Him better. Read about Him, talk with Him, sit with Him. Because whoever knows Him knows that He has never abandoned anyone who truly sought Him. And He will never start doing that with you.
Prayer
God, I want to know You more. May each day of seeking increase my trust in Your character. I know You do not abandon me — and that sustains me even when everything feels uncertain. Amen.
