Day 365 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Closer to God
“I will be your God, and ye shall be my people.”
Leviticus 26:12b
You made it. Three hundred and sixty-five days. Three hundred and sixty-five encounters — some full of tears, some full of wonder, some made in exhaustion, others in joy. But every one of them: encounters with God.
And look where you are now.
Not necessarily the place you imagined back in January. Maybe circumstances are different from what you expected. But something in you has changed. Something was built that won't disappear when the calendar turns. Your faith has a depth it didn't have before. Your heart knows His voice in a way it didn't before.
That is the most precious gift of the year: you are closer to God than when you started.
And He is closer to you than you ever imagined possible. Not as a distant, stern God — but as the One who said, "I will be your God, and you will be My people." Personal, near, real.
The next year doesn't start from zero. It starts from where you are right now — more grounded, more known, more loved. Take everything you've learned. Take the scars that became testimonies. Take the faith that was tested and held firm. And take, above all, the certainty that He goes with you.
The book closes here. But the story with God never closes.
May every morning of the year to come find you waking up knowing: He is here. And that is enough. More than enough.
To the end — and beyond it — closer to God.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for every day of this year. Thank You for every word that touched my heart, every prayer that drew me closer to You, every tear You turned into strength. I know now, in a way I didn't before, that You are real, You are good, and You are with me. I step into the next year hand in hand with You — not because I am strong, but because You are faithful. May I keep growing, day by day, closer to You. Forever. Amen.
