Day 354Closer to God — 365 Days

Renewed Strength

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

The promise is for those who wait. Not those who arrive at full strength. Not those who never falter. Those who wait — who stay in His presence, even when they feel nothing, even when nothing seems to change.

Waiting on the Lord isn't sitting with your arms crossed. It's trusting, seeking, staying connected to the Source when your own reserves are dry.

And the result of that waiting? Renewal. Your strength isn't just recharged — it's made new. Something fresh is born. The eagle doesn't walk to reach its destination. It rises, rides the currents of the wind, and flies farther than it ever could by running.

God wants to give you flight. But the flight begins in the waiting. In the stillness. In the quiet confidence that He is enough.

You can reach the end of this year renewed. Not worn out — renewed. If you wait on Him.

Prayer

Lord, here I am, waiting on You. Renew my strength, not as I imagine it, but as You know I need it. Let me rise on wings like eagles. Amen.
