Day 341 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Tears That Turn to Joy
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.”
Psalm 126:5
There are seeds that only grow watered with tears. Not because God enjoys our suffering — but because certain harvests only come after a certain depth of soul.
Have you sown this year? Then think carefully: what did you plant while you were crying? The prayer poured out in the middle of the night. The right choice made when the wrong one would have been easier. The forgiveness given when the hurt still ached. The act of faith practiced when fear was greater.
Those are seeds. And they aren't lost. They germinate in God's time, He who sees every tear that has fallen onto the soil of your life.
The joy that's coming won't erase what you suffered. It will redeem it. It will give it meaning. It will show that none of it was in vain.
Cry if you need to. But keep sowing. The harvest is coming.
Prayer
Father, You have kept my tears as in a bottle. I trust that You turn them into seeds of joy. I wait for the harvest with hope. Amen.
