Day 322 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Father, I Trust
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:5
Committing something isn't the same as giving up on it. Committing means recognizing that this path, this situation, this loved one — is bigger than your ability to control. And that there is Someone far more capable of caring for it than you are.
God isn't asking you to abandon what you love. He's asking you to place it in the right hands. His hands.
Trust is an active verb. It requires a choice, every day, sometimes several times a day. Because the temptation to take back control is constant. To fix it in your own strength, to brace for the worst, to make contingency plans for every possible scenario.
But when you let go, when you truly commit it — there's a relief that no human solution can bring. It's the peace of knowing the situation rests in the Father's hands.
He will act. Trust Him.
Prayer
Lord, I commit into Your hands what I have been carrying alone. I trust that You will care for it better than I ever could. May Your will be done. Amen.
