Day 269Closer to God — 365 Days

Love That Endures All Things

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13:7

"Beareth all things." It doesn't ignore. It doesn't deny. Genuine love truly bears the weight — it feels the pain, faces reality, doesn't pretend everything is fine when it isn't. But it doesn't stop there.

"Believeth all things." This isn't naivety — it's the choice not to default to assuming the worst about people. It's believing the other person can change, can grow, can be more than their worst moments.

"Hopeth all things." It's not giving up before it's time. It's giving the process the time it needs. It's not making final decisions based on a single moment of pain.

"Endureth all things." Not "endures" like some passive suffering. It's standing firm. It's staying on your feet. It's not sinking, even when the weight is heavy.

This whole picture is the portrait of mature love — the kind that has been through things, that has been tested, that has come out the other side still standing.

You don't need to have this love perfected right now. But you can look at where you are on the path and ask God to keep shaping this in you.

Love that endures all things is fruit. And fruit takes time to ripen.

Prayer

Lord, shape in me a love that lasts. That endures, that believes, that hopes. I won't give up on the process — I trust You to finish what You started. Amen.
