Day 263Closer to God — 365 Days

When It's Too Hard

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:2

There are days when you look at the situation — the person who hurt you, the wound that remains, the relationship that's broken — and think: this is too big. This is too hard. I don't have the strength for this.

And you know what? You don't need to.

You don't need to forgive by your own strength. You don't need to carry the other person's burden with your own two hands. You need to connect with the One who has strength enough for both.

Galatians 6:2 speaks of carrying one another's burdens — and that includes you bringing your own burden to someone. To God, first. To community, when possible. You were not made to bear everything alone.

The hard forgiveness, the love that feels impossible, the relationship that seems to have no way forward — all of it can be brought to the Father. Not as some magic request, but as an honest confession: "God, I can't do this. I need You here."

He won't judge you for not managing it. He'll work with whatever you bring.

Prayer

Lord, this burden is too heavy for me. I bring You what I cannot carry. Work where my strength runs out. Amen.
